Made of premium cobalt high speed steel in a one piece construction, these boring bars may also be modified to a special grooving tool to produce various internal shapes and radii. Cobalt is an ideal tool material because of its high red-hardness, abrasive resistance and ability to maintain a sharp edge. In addition, cobalt is used successfully to significantly extend tool life.
